Our new special is made with a black tea that comes from Georgia.
Its name is Ozurgeti, and it is also the name of the capital of the western Georgian province of Guria.
The town is also the regional center for tea processing.
It is also one of the five black tea Kombuchas that we have recently experimented with.
Ozurgeti is a premium hard-rolled tea, with beautiful whole leaves.
As tea, it has some nice fruity and flowery notes, with tones of honey and caramel.
As Kombucha, it develops more depth through the fermentation process, acquiring some sour apple notes, and it tastes like a bottle of a nice apple based wine.
Ingredients: Filtered and Revitalized Water, Live Kombucha Cultures, Unrefined Brown Sugar, and Ozurgeti Black Tea
